The first thing you need to understand is that, in order to have a healthy relationship you need two people. If you think your relationship was perfect it’s okay to think so but don’t think it’s only because the person you were with, it’s also because the person you are.
If you consider the relationship you had as perfect it’s because you did it like that, if you consider your ex perfect it’s because you did him/her like that. There are a lot of people out there, and only you have to ability to choose whether a person will be important for you or not. So don’t underestimate your value, because you can make the relationship perfect for you.
Invest in the most important person
You need to understand that you have to invest in yourself. Of course, the first days or weeks after the breakup are tough days. You feel like it’s the end of the world. You feel sadness and cry all day and sometimes feel anger. You want to speak to your ex and it’s normal.
All these feelings are bad because they make the healing process harder. It happens mainly when we aren’t busy when we have free moments during the day or before going to sleep. You can even feel lonely when something good happens and we want to share it with someone else and suddenly that person isn’t there anymore. Therefore a lot of people try to distract themselves but this isn’t the solution because you don’t really heal the problem and also you can’t really distract yourself the whole day, there will always be free moments.
The best thing you can do and this is what I did, is to start a new project, by a project I mean something that you love. Start running, painting, singing, or anything that makes you feel good. Start doing something daily that makes you feel satisfaction, something that makes you feel alive, something that makes you feel like you are in progress. Don’t stay in the same place, develop yourself, and see how good you will feel. Of course, this process demands patience, you can’t just feel amazing overnight, but if you do that, you will see results and will find happiness.
