Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go

My ex and I broke up, I felt so bad, I didn’t want to do anything. I was just sitting and crying, thinking how to make her come back. I had motivation, I felt like it was possible to make her come back, so I tried hard, I tried to hold on. I believed that it was making me strong the fact that I was fighting to gain her love again…

But I was wrong, she didn’t come back. I found myself again, sitting and crying, but this time, hopeless. I didn’t know what to go, where to go.

The days passed and nothing changed, until the moment I realized that it was the hope of returning to her that made me feel so weak. I suddenly understood that only letting her go would let me live the life I want and feel strong again.

There will be a moment in your life where you will feel like you must hold on, but instead the right solution, as hard as it might be, will be to let go.
