Stop Thinking Of Not Getting Hurt

After a breakup, you are hurt, and you don’t want to get hurt again. I know that you want a new relationship, you go dating but it doesn’t feel the same, it doesn’t work. You don’t know what to do, you blame yourself, you blame destiny, you blame the second side. You just feel lost, you ask yourself why you need it if it’s worth it. If you can relate to any of this, I want to tell you that I feel you and this article is for you.

Well, first of all, there are so many reasons why you can be hurt, maybe someone cheated on you, someone lied, someone didn’t appreciate you and your effort and more reasons. It’s normal to be afraid and it’s normal to take distance but I am here to help because I know those feelings won’t help you. If you want to be happy and find true love, the love you deserve you have to change that thought.

You aren’t your past

When you decide “I don’t want to get hurt anymore” you let the past define you, you let your fears define you, you let one thought define you. Think about the person you want to be, think about the person you want others to see in you, do you want to be a person that let his fears define him? I am sure that no. I am sure you are an amazing, interesting, and cool person.

You have now a goal, your goal is not to get hurt, it’s so natural I know, you don’t want to feel the pain again, you don’t want to be disappointed again, but this is a bad goal. I talked about goals and how to set them in the last article. Your goal has to be positive; you can’t set a goal to not get hurt. Set a goal to find new love, to be a better person, to build your self-confidence.

Think positive

To do so, write down all the things you want to achieve, all the things the person you want to be should have and do. Just think about that, about the person you want to be, about the things you want to do as that person. Don’t think about the fears, don’t think about what you don’t want. Don’t blame yourself and think about the past.

Maybe you attracted the wrong people because you didn’t have enough self-esteem and maybe you have already made dramatic decisions like:” I will never love again”, “I won’t trust someone again”. Just let all these things go. From today you think about the person you want to be.

You will find yourself day by day acting like that person till it becomes you. You will start dating, you will start chasing your goals and dreams. Does that mean you won’t get hurt again? I can’t promise that but you will be strong enough to deal with it and move on, you won’t give up on love so easily. Don’t let your fears manage you, let your dreams lift you.

I am sure that you are very successful in so many fields in life, take inspiration from there. Even if your love life isn’t perfect it doesn’t mean you are less than amazing. It’s just a period in life. Remember that in the end, not your thoughts but your actions define who you are and what kind of person you will be.

If you want to find love, if you want a change in your life it’s time to think about the person you want to be and start acting like that person. It won’t be easy and yes it will take time. But if you don’t have time and power to invest in yourself who will have.
